How ratings will be calculated

Visible counts, separate roles, cautious samples

Each satisfaction question uses the same five-point scale, from very dissatisfied to very satisfied, plus “Not enough experience to rate.” Unanswered questions are excluded from calculations, not counted as zero.

A category average will be the sum of its eligible numerical answers divided by the number of eligible responses answering it, with equal weight for each allowed response. Fit questions will show answer shares, not quality scores. All eligible answers will contribute regardless of whether they are favorable. Results will not be selected, ordered, or delayed to favor positive feedback.

Club summary publication thresholds

A Parent club category or displayed filter may publish from one eligible response. A Coach club category or displayed filter may also publish from one eligible response. Every result will show its eligible response count and season. A result with one eligible response necessarily reflects that single person’s answers, even though their name and individual response card are not published. Any Parent or Coach result based on fewer than five eligible responses will carry a prominent small-sample warning that it may not represent the broader role group and that a small count can make a participant or their answers inferable.

A Player club category or displayed filter will publish only when at least five distinct eligible families contributed to that category or filter. The five-family minimum applies independently every time a Player result is filtered; a larger unfiltered total cannot unlock a smaller filtered result. Five is a privacy and publication threshold, not proof of reliability.

Parent, Player, and Coach results will never be combined to cross a threshold or produce a blended score. Counts will not imply that responses are statistically representative. Voluntary responses may differ from the experience of people who did not participate.

Individual-Coach publication threshold

Each displayed individual-Coach category or fit question still requires at least five distinct eligible households who answered that question in that season, with equal weight for each household. The same five-household minimum applies to every displayed filter. Show its eligible household count and season.

Observation and fit answer shares for individual-Coach ratings are withheld for the entire question whenever any nonempty answer group contains fewer than five households, so omitted answers cannot be inferred from the remaining counts. The submission form accepts the current seasonal year and the two preceding seasonal years.

The club questionnaire asks separately about expected commitment, participation versus performance emphasis, and whether someone would choose the club again in the same role. These fit answers do not increase or decrease satisfaction scores. The current individual-Coach questionnaire contains six satisfaction questions; it does not collect demandingness or instruction-style ratings. There is no overall coach leaderboard or combined quality-and-difficulty score.
